Mansingh Palace

We are over here at 181/2 Fatehabad Road. If you know Agra, you know this road gets pretty busy with all the cars and people heading toward the monument. Mansingh Palace has been sitting here for a while now. It’s a big building, and sometimes the sun hits the stone in a way that makes it look older than it is. We spend a lot of our time just keeping up with things, checking the rooms, and making sure the lobby isn't too dusty. The traffic outside never really stops, especially during the tourist season. You can hear the horns from the gate sometimes. It's not a quiet place, but it’s where we are. We see people from all over the world walking in with their bags, looking a bit tired from the heat. We just try to get them settled without too much fuss. There’s a lot of stone and marble inside, which helps keep things a bit cooler when the Agra summer really starts to kick in. Sometimes the power goes out in the neighborhood, but we have our ways of dealing with that. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation for us. We don't do anything too fancy, just the basic stuff you'd expect from a place like this on such a well-known street. We've seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, with new shops opening up and others closing down, but we are still here.
