Manoj Hair Saloon

Manoj Hair Saloon is situated at Barah Khamba Shahganj in the city of Agra. The location is in the 282001 area. It is an older part of the city and things seem to move at their own pace around here. The shop is quite small and a bit tucked away from the main road. We have all the usual things you find in a barbershop like clippers, combs, and those blue jars for soaking the scissors. We do not go in for any fancy or expensive stuff. People come here because they know what they are going to get. They sit down in the chair, we put the cloth cape on them, and we get to work. Some of the older men in Shahganj have been coming here since before I can remember. They like to sit and talk about the weather or how the prices of vegetables are going up in the market. Agra can be a very dusty place in the summer, so we spend a lot of our free time cleaning the mirrors and the glass shelves. There is a small radio that we usually have playing some old film songs quietly in the background. It helps pass the long hours when the shop is slow. We do not have a big staff or any managers. It is just us doing the daily work. The chairs squeak a little when they turn, but they still work fine.
