Maharishi Parshu Inter College

This inter college is located right in Agra, and like most places in this city, it’s always got something going on around it. We are in the 282001 area, which is pretty central. The building itself has been around for quite a while, and it has that old school look with thick walls and high ceilings that help a bit with the heat in the summer. We mostly deal with kids from the nearby neighborhoods who walk or take a rickshaw to get here. It’s a noisy place during the day, with teachers trying to talk over the sounds of the street and students playing in the yard during their breaks. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or a huge sports field, but we make do with what we have. Our main goal is just to help these kids get through their tenth and twelfth grades so they can move on to whatever is next for them. The staff here are mostly locals who have been teaching in Agra for years. They know how things work and they don't expect things to be perfect. We just show up, do our jobs, and try to make sure the students learn something useful before they head home for the day. It’s a very normal, everyday kind of school where hard work is more important than looking polished or corporate. We just keep the gates open and the lessons going through the school year.
