The kids are usually busy with their books or playing in the yard. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure the students understand what's on the chalkboard. It’s a practical environment. There is no corporate polish here. We talk to parents like neighbors because many of them are. Sometimes the power goes out and we just open the windows for some air. We don’t make big promises about the future, we just take it one day at a time. It’s a school where children learn to read, write, and do their sums.
