About Lord Krishna Public School – Education in Agra
Our school is right on Station Road in Kiraoli. It’s a very familiar part of town for everyone living around here. Being near the station means there’s always some noise, whether it's the trains or the people passing by on the main road. The building is an older one, but it’s sturdy and has served us well. We have several classrooms filled with wooden desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. We spend our mornings greeting the students as they walk in from the nearby narrow streets. Some come on bicycles, and others walk with their siblings or parents. It’s a neighborhood school through and through. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or high-tech gadgets. It’s mostly just chalkboards, books, and teachers trying to get through the day's lessons as best as they can. The hallways are quite narrow, so it gets a bit cramped during the short breaks. We have a small courtyard where the kids gather for the morning assembly and some exercises. Sometimes the stray dogs wander in through the gate, and we have to shoo them out before class starts. Water is kept in big clay pots and coolers for the kids to drink. It gets very hot in the Agra region, so we keep the ceiling fans going at full speed. By the time the final bell rings at two, everyone is ready to go home. We just lock the gates and start over.
