Kaif Hair Salon

Kaif Hair Salon is located in the Prem Nagar area of Shah Ganj, right on the Shahganj Bodla Road. This is a busy part of Agra, and we see a lot of foot traffic. I’ve been running this salon for several years now. It’s a small shop, maybe not the biggest on the block, but we have everything we need. There are two big mirrors and a couple of revolving chairs that have seen better days. I keep my scissors and clippers in a drawer under the main counter. Every morning, I sweep the front and get things ready. My cousin helps me out during the evenings when the office crowd starts coming home. We don't do anything too fancy, just regular haircuts and beard trims. Sometimes people ask for things I don't do, and I just tell them I’m a simple barber. The tea stall next door brings us chai twice a day, which is the highlight of the afternoon. The noise from Shahganj Bodla Road is always there, but you get used to it. We have a small bench for people to sit on while they wait. It’s usually covered in old newspapers. It’s a honest living, and I like talking to the people from Prem Nagar. If you are around Shah Ganj, you can stop by. We are usually here until late at night. Sometimes I stay even later if there's someone still waiting. It’s just how it goes.
