Jonsans Mens Hair Saloon

If you know the Sikandra area in Agra, you know how the traffic can get around Bodla. Our saloon is in the Pushpanjali Complex, which is a busy spot. It’s a typical men’s shop where you can hear the sound of clippers and the occasional snip of scissors all day long. We have the standard barber chairs that lean back, and they are quite comfortable if you have to wait. The walls have some old pictures of different hair styles, though most men just ask for the same thing they always get. Agra is a dusty city, so we are always wiping down the counters and the mirrors. We have a small television in the corner, but usually, it’s just there for background noise while we talk about cricket or the local news. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but we take care of the people who come in. Most of our customers are guys from the nearby offices or students who want to look sharp. We don’t have a lot of rules here; you just come in, grab a seat, and wait your turn. The water in the spray bottles is usually cool, which feels good when it’s forty degrees outside. It’s just a straightforward place for men to get their hair cut without any of the extra drama you find in big malls. We close up when the sun goes down and the complex gets quiet.
