You can find Joint Trade Corporation over in Shyam Market, right in the Jeoni Mandi area. It’s a crowded place, always something happening outside our door. We’ve been set up here for a long time, trading different items depending on what’s in demand. It’s mostly wholesale stuff. The market is loud and can get pretty dusty, but that’s just life in Jeoni Mandi. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just a warehouse space and a small area where we sit and handle the accounts. We deal with a lot of different vendors and local shopkeepers who come by to pick up their orders. Sometimes the negotiations take a while, but that’s just how it goes in this market. We try to keep things simple. If we have it in stock, we sell it. If we don’t, we see if we can get it. There’s a lot of back and forth with suppliers. We’ve seen the market change a lot over the years, new shops opening and old ones closing down. We just keep doing our thing. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break. It’s a hard-working atmosphere here. Nothing polished about it, just boxes and ledgers and a lot of talk about prices and delivery dates. It’s been our home for years and we don’t plan on moving anytime soon.
