Ganesh Ladis Corner & Beauty Parlour

Ganesh Ladis Corner & Beauty Parlour is situated on Gwalior Road in the Rohta Ka Baag area of Agra. We are right on the main stretch as you head towards Gwalior. It is a simple place that serves the women in this part of the city. We have a section for beauty work and another corner where we keep some daily items that people might need. It is a bit of a mix, which is why we call it a corner. The shop is not fancy at all. We have plain walls and the furniture is just what we need to get the work done. In Agra, it gets very hot in the summer, so we try to keep the shop as cool as we can with the fans we have. Many of the ladies who come here live in the nearby houses and just walk over in the afternoon. We don't do any big advertising. Usually, someone’s aunt or cousin tells them to come to us. We just sit and chat while doing threading or hair work. It is a very relaxed atmosphere. We don't try to be like the big salons in the city center. We are just a local parlor for the neighborhood. It is steady work and we enjoy seeing the same people every week. Sometimes we have to step out to get change, but someone is usually around.
