Dprss Farmer Producer Company Limited

Dprss is basically a group of us here in Baragaon. If you know the Jasrana area, you know it’s mostly fields and small houses. We are based right out of the village and post office area. It’s a farmer producer company, which means we spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors about their crops and what’s growing well this year. It isn't a corporate setup at all. Most of our meetings happen in the shade or inside a small room when the sun gets too much. We deal with whatever the local farmers are bringing in. Some days it is quiet and we just sit and look at the books, but other days the place is full of people complaining about the price of fertilizer or the lack of rain. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy things about us. We are just local people from Baragaon trying to get a better deal for what we grow. It’s a lot of legwork, going from one farm to another and making sure everyone is on the same page. The dust gets everywhere in the dry season and the mud is a mess when it pours, but that is just part of living and working in this part of the country. We just keep moving forward, trying to keep the accounts straight and the farmers happy enough to keep coming back.
