Divyashi Beauty Parlour & Ladies Corner

Divyashi Beauty Parlour & Ladies Corner is tucked into the Main Market area in Aharan, Agra. It is a small space where we manage both the beauty work and the little items ladies need daily. Being in the market means there is always someone walking past the door. The shelves are packed with threads, buttons, and some cosmetics. It can feel a bit crowded when three or four people come in at once. Agra gets very hot in the summer months, so the ceiling fan stays on high speed all day. We have a small curtained area for the beauty work to give some privacy from the market street. Most of our visitors are women from the nearby houses who stop by while doing their vegetable shopping. I spend a lot of time organizing the bangles and checking what needs to be restocked. It’s not a quiet place because of the market noise, but it feels lively. Sometimes the tea man from the corner brings us a cup while we are working. We don't have fancy lights or big signs, just a simple board outside. It’s been here long enough that most people know where to find us without looking at the address. I think people like that they can get their hair done and pick up some safety pins at the same place. It saves them a lot of walking around in the heat and getting dusty from the roads.
