This road gets a massive amount of traffic every day, so there is always a bit of background noise from the cars and scooters passing by the front window. The shop is a bit more updated than some of the older ones in the city, but it is still a local place at the end of the day. We have a few more chairs than a typical stall and the lighting is a bit brighter so we can see what we are doing. We do all the standard hair cutting and styling. People often come in with pictures on their mobile phones of a specific look they want. We try our best to match it for them, though sometimes their hair is just too thin or short to make it work. It involves a lot of standing and moving around the chair for hours at a time. We keep the combs in the sanitizer and make sure the capes are fresh for every person. It is a busy life on Shahganj Bodla Road and we see people from all over. Some are in a huge rush to get somewhere else and some just want to sit and chat for a while.
