Our yard is in Agra, specifically at Katra Wazir Khan, right behind Vijay Talkies. It’s a pretty gritty place to work, to be honest. Dealing with granite means there is always a lot of heavy lifting and the sound of saws cutting through stone. The air is almost always filled with fine stone dust, so we all end up looking a bit grey by the end of the day. We have slabs of stone stacked everywhere, and navigating between them is like a maze. Being behind the old cinema is a good landmark, though it’s not as busy as it used to be. We spend our time measuring pieces, checking for cracks, and loading them onto trucks. It’s physical work and it’s tiring, especially when the Agra sun is beating down on the yard. We aren't trying to be the biggest granite company out there. We just want to make sure the stone we send out is solid and that we get our work done on time. The crew is mostly local guys who don't mind getting their hands dirty. We don't have any fancy brochures. Usually, people just come by the yard and look at what we have in stock. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s worked for us so far. We just keep the machines running and the trucks moving. That’s about all there is to it.
