Asiya Beauty Parlour & Ladies Corner

If you go down Adde Wali Gali in Tajganj, you will see our place. It is Asiya Beauty Parlour and we also have a Ladies Corner. That means we sell things like bangles, bindis, and safety pins along with the beauty work. Agra is always full of people, but our lane is mostly for the locals. The shop is small and packed with all sorts of stuff. Boxes of bangles are everywhere on the shelves. We do haircuts and facials in the back part of the shop. It is a bit cramped, to be honest. But we make it work every day. Most of the women who come here are our neighbors. We talk about everything while I work on their hair. My niece helps me with the selling part of the business. We stay open late sometimes because people come by after they finish dinner. The lighting is a bit yellow, which makes everything look warm inside. We do not use anything too expensive. Just the regular stuff people ask for. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a cart or a cow, so it is hard to get in. But that is just Tajganj for you. We have had this shop since my kids were small. It is how we pay the bills. Nothing fancy, just a plain shop for plain people. We try to keep things tidy but with all the bangles and pins, it is hard. The bell on the door rings every time someone walks in.
