Anjali Beautiparlor

Anjali Beautiparlor is located right in the middle of the Main Bajar on Gwalior Road in the Swela Jat area. Agra is a very busy and crowded city, and this market area is certainly no different from the rest. I have had this shop here for a long time now. It is a very busy spot with people always passing by on their way to buy groceries or clothes. We handle all kinds of beauty work, mostly for the women who live in the nearby streets or those who come to the market for their weekly shopping. The space we have is not very large, but we manage to make it work for us. I have some wooden shelves for the various creams and the threads. The sign we have outside is a bit faded now from the harsh sun. Swela Jat is the kind of place where almost everyone knows everyone else. I see the same faces coming in every single week. It is hard work standing on my feet all day long, but I have gotten used to it over the years. The Gwalior Road traffic is just something you learn to ignore after a while. I usually start my day by cleaning the big mirrors and setting out all the tools. We do not have any fancy air conditioning, just a good ceiling fan that stays on. People mostly just drop in without any appointments. It is a friendly atmosphere. It is just a local business.
