Amina Hair Saloon

Sadar Bazar is always a busy place and we are right there on Gwalior Road. It's a crowded street in Agra and we have been here for many years. The shop is small and simple. People come in for a quick haircut or a clean shave. We have a few old chairs that are comfortable enough for a short stay. The light is bright and we use very basic tools. There are no fancy creams or expensive imported stuff here. Just regular soap and water and a sharp blade for the work. The floor gets covered in hair quickly when we are busy but we sweep it up as we go. Agra gets very hot in the summer so the fan is always on high. Sometimes the traffic noise outside is very loud. You can hear the horns and people shouting in the bazaar. But inside the shop we just focus on the hair. We see travelers sometimes because of the location near the main road but mostly it's the shopkeepers from Sadar Bazar. They come in before they open their own businesses for the day. We don't have a big staff at Amina Hair Saloon. Just a couple of us working. It's a basic place and we don't do appointments. You just walk in and wait for your turn. If there is a line you can read the newspaper or talk to others. We have a small radio too. It plays old songs usually. We don't try to be something we aren't.
