Vasavi High School

Vasavi High School is located right on the Manchiriyal Road in Nirmal. If you’re driving by, you can’t miss the building. It’s been a landmark in this part of town for a good while. The front gate is usually busy in the morning with cycles and kids walking in. We have a big open space in the middle where we do the morning prayers and announcements. The classrooms are lined up along the sides, and they stay pretty cool because of the way the building was built. We have old wooden benches that have seen a lot of use. Sometimes the chalk dust gets everywhere, and we have to keep cleaning the boards. The staff room is a busy place where teachers sit to grade exams and drink their tea. We don't have much in the way of high-tech equipment, but we make do with what we have. Most of our students come from the local neighborhoods around Nirmal. You can see them hanging out near the gate after school, talking about their day before they head home. The traffic on Manchiriyal Road can get a bit loud, especially in the afternoons, but we’re used to it. We don’t have a lot of rules about how things should look as long as the teaching gets done and the students are behaving themselves. It’s a practical school for local people, and we just keep it running day by day.
