Akshara School

We've been running Akshara School here in the Subhash Complex for a while now. Dehgaon Mudhole is where we are based, right in Adilabad. It’s a busy spot but we make it work for the kids. Most of the people around here know where to find us. We don't have a huge fancy building or anything, just some classrooms and a place for the students to sit and do their lessons. Every morning the kids start coming in from the nearby areas. It gets a bit noisy sometimes because we are in the complex, but that is just how it goes in this part of town. The teachers are locals mostly. They walk to work or take a quick ride. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the bell rings late or we have to move things around. It's a real school with real people. Parents often stop by just to chat about how their children are doing. We don't do any big advertisements. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or cousins. The rooms are basic. We have desks and boards and books. It is a simple setup because that's what's needed here. We focus on the daily stuff, making sure the kids learn their numbers and letters. Adilabad can get hot, so we try to keep the place as cool as we can during those summer months. It's just us doing our job every day, year after year, helping out the families in our little corner. We aren't trying to change the world, just teaching the basics.
