A P Social Welfare Residential Schools

Our school is located out in Nirmal, specifically in the Left Pochampadu area. It is a residential setup for girls, so the campus is basically where everyone lives and eats and spends their whole day. Being a welfare school, things are kept simple and practical. The buildings have that typical government style, with long corridors and large rooms for the students. In the mornings, you can hear the girls getting ready and the sound of metal plates in the dining hall. It gets pretty hot here in the summer, and the trees around the yard are about the only place to find some shade during the afternoon break. The staff stays on-site too, so we are all part of the same routine. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just have to sit out on the steps until it comes back on. It is not a flashy place, but it is home for the girls while they are here. You see a lot of laundry hanging out to dry and the playground is mostly just dirt and some worn-down equipment. We have been at this location for a long time, and everyone in the nearby villages knows where the A P Social Welfare school is. The gates stay shut most of the day to keep things quiet, but there is always some noise coming from the classrooms or the kitchen staff getting the next meal ready for the group.
