Our base is in Jagadhamba Thanda, which is part of the Parimandal area in Mamada. If you look for us, you’ll find us where the trucks are parked. It’s a lot of outdoor work here. We spend most of our time checking schedules and making sure the vehicles are ready to head out. The roads around here can be rough, so there is always some maintenance to keep up with. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking maps to see where everyone is. We don't sit behind desks much. Usually, someone is under a hood or talking to a driver who just got back. The dust from the road gets on everything, but that’s just part of the transport business. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for deliveries to arrive or depart. It’s not a quiet place because there is always an engine running somewhere nearby. We know the routes around Mamada like the back of our hands. It’s honest work that keeps us tired by the end of the week. We started small and stayed that way, focusing on what we know. There are no fancy uniforms here, just people who know how to move goods from one place to another. We stay busy through the seasons, dealing with rain or heat as it comes. It is a simple operation run by people who live right here.
