Ekalavya Function Hall

We opened up Ekalavya Function Hall here in Bhavraopet because the village needed a decent place for people to get together. It is a big enough space for weddings or those smaller family functions where everyone shows up. Being in Chennur mandal, we see a lot of local faces coming through the doors. Most days, we are just busy making sure the floors are swept and the chairs are stacked right for the next group. There is a kitchen area in the back where the cooks do their thing. It gets pretty loud when the drums start playing, but that is just how it goes during a party. We keep the fans running when it is hot. Sometimes the power goes out, so we have to deal with that like everyone else in the district. It isn't a fancy place with velvet curtains, but it stays clean and the roof doesn't leak. People come here because they know where we are. We try to keep things simple for the families. You bring your decorations and your guests, and we provide the space. Often we are here late at night helping folks pack up leftovers or find their lost keys. It is regular work. We just handle the building and make sure the gates are open on time. There is plenty of room for parking tractors or bikes outside. It's just a hall for the community to use when they have something to celebrate.
