Jagdamba Profil

Our place, Jagdamba Profil, is located in the Gidc Industrial Estate in Makarpura, Vadodara. We are at unit 162/E, which is right in the heart of the industrial zone. It is a noisy area because there are factories and workshops all around us doing different types of metalwork and manufacturing. We focus on making profiles, so the sound of machines cutting and shaping material is the background music for our entire day. The floor is usually covered in some metal shavings or dust, no matter how much we try to sweep it up. It is a very practical environment where we wear work boots and don't worry too much about getting our clothes dirty. The Gujarat heat is pretty intense in the afternoons, and the metal roof overhead makes sure we feel it. We have a small office area tucked into one corner where we keep the ledgers and the customer files, but most of the action happens out on the floor. People come in and out with sketches or measurements, and we figure out how to get them what they need. There is nothing fancy about how we run things here. We just show up, turn on the machines, and get through the list of orders we have for the week. It is a regular industrial job, and we have been part of the Makarpura community for a good number of years now.
