At Parul Steel Industries, we are located at Plot No. 1302 in Phase-3 of the GIDC. This is a huge industrial area, and being in Phase-3 means we are surrounded by a lot of other businesses. Our plot is where we handle all the steel work. It’s a loud place to be. There’s the sound of metal hitting metal and the cranes moving things around. We have a lot of heavy stock that stays in the yard or inside on the racks. The building itself is just a big shed, really. We have a small corner where we keep the paperwork, but most of the action happens on the floor. We don't spend time making the place look pretty. The walls are stained and the floor is scratched up, but that’s what happens when you work with steel. We show up early and stay until the work is finished. It’s a hard job and the guys are usually pretty tired by the end of the day. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just move the steel and make sure the orders are correct. It’s hot work, especially in the middle of the day. We drink a lot of water and just keep moving. It’s a very basic, honest way of working. There are no frills at plot 1302.
