Vivek Engineers

Vivek Engineers is located at Plot No. 676 in Phase 2 of the GIDC. If you are trying to find us, we are tucked away right near the big curve in the main road. We do basic engineering and machining work here. It is mostly turning and milling tasks. To be honest, it’s a pretty dusty place. We try to sweep the floor at the end of every day, but those metal shavings seem to get into every corner no matter how hard we try. My father started this workshop years ago with just one old lathe. Since then, we have added a couple more and a milling machine that has seen better days but still gets the job done. We mostly take on smaller jobs. Maybe a guy from a nearby unit brings in a broken part that needs fixing, or a bigger factory needs a small batch of custom bolts. We don't have anyone doing sales or marketing. It is just me and three other workers. We usually eat our lunch together on the shop floor near the big fan. The summer heat is really something else, so we try to start the machines very early in the morning to finish before it gets unbearable. Sometimes the material we order doesn't show up on time, which can be a real problem for our schedule. That is just how it goes in this business though. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just focus on the work.
