Active Engineers

You can find Active Engineers at Plot No. 236 and 237 on Road No. 2 in the GIDC. We’ve been using these two plots for our engineering work for quite a while now. This part of the GIDC is a busy place, and Road No. 2 has its fair share of trucks and noise. Inside the workshop, there are the usual things you’d expect—lathes, drills, and piles of scrap metal in the corners. Keeping things spotless isn't something we are very good at, but every tool has its place and we know where they are. Our small group of workers really knows their way around a machine. Since there isn't a human resources department or a PR person here, the phone is usually answered by someone with the machines running in the background. Most days are spent focusing on the specific tasks at hand. If a job takes longer than we thought, we just stay late until it's finished. Fancy management techniques aren't used here; we just talk to each other and get the work done. The office is just a small corner with a desk and a computer mostly used for invoices. Being out where the action is feels much better to us. Even though it’s dusty and loud, it’s home. We’ve been part of this industrial community for years and plan to stay right here on Road No. 2.
