Out here in Amravati, you can find us behind the Niyazi Complex in Habib Nagar. It’s on Walgaon Road, which stays pretty dusty most of the time. The office is run by a small group of us, and we’ve become quite used to the way things work around here. It’s not a shiny new building; it’s just a practical space where we can keep our records and meet with people. We have a few chairs out front where we sit when the sun isn't too hot. Most of our day is spent dealing with the logistics of moving cement bags around the district. We don't use any fancy software most of the time; it’s a lot of ledgers and phone calls to drivers. You might see Altaf Shah or one of the guys around the complex. We aren't big on formalities. If you walk in, you’ll probably find someone drinking tea or checking a manifest. The floors get a bit dirty because of all the boots coming in from the road, but that’s just how it is. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a bit and know the rhythms of the street. It’s a quiet life in some ways, but there’s always a problem to solve with a delivery or a shortage somewhere. We just take it as it comes. Sometimes the gate squeaks so loud the whole block can hear us opening up in the morning.
