Site Engineers

We are over here in Siddhantham, which is part of the Penugonda area in Westgodavari. Most days you will find us out on the roads or at different sites around the district. It is a lot of work being Site Engineers in this part of Andhra Pradesh, especially when the weather gets real hot in the afternoons. My name is Raghuram and I run things from our office at S. Ramamurthy’s place. It isn't a fancy office with big glass windows or anything like that. It is just a practical spot where we keep our tools and look at the drawings before heading out. People around here know us because we have been working in these villages for a while now. We don't really do big advertisements because word of mouth is usually enough. If there is a building going up or some land needs checking, we are the ones who show up with the measuring tapes and the levels. It is honest work, sometimes tiring, but it feels good to see something actually get built from the ground up. We spend a lot of time traveling between the different mandals. The roads can be a bit rough sometimes, but that is just part of the job. We keep it simple and just focus on getting the measurements right so the construction can move forward without any big mistakes happening later on in the process.
