Be Civil Engineering

Out here in Sreerampuram, Bhimavaram, things move at a different pace than the big cities. Be Civil Engineering is based right in the heart of this neighborhood. Our address is easy to find if you know the area, but it’s just a simple building where we keep all our gear and paperwork. The air in Andhra Pradesh can get heavy with heat, so we spend a lot of time making sure the office stays cool enough to think. We have maps and site plans rolled up in the corners and a couple of old desks that have seen better days. Most of our work takes us out to different sites, so the office is often just a home base where we check in. There’s always someone coming in with dusty boots or a phone that won't stop ringing. We don't spend money on fancy signs or expensive rugs. Instead, we have a fridge stocked with cold water and a bench outside where we sit when the sun goes down. People in the neighborhood know us by name, and we often stop to talk to the neighbors about the weather or the local news. It’s a straightforward way of living and working. We focus on the projects we have in front of us and try to make sure everything is built right. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s ours. We just keep our heads down and get the projects finished.
