V.K. Transformers

V.K. Transformers is situated at Khasara No. 54/4, Plot No. 405. We are near Gali Number 7, in the area known as Bhooton Wali Gali in Nangloi. It sounds like a strange name for a street, but it’s where we’ve done our work for years. Dealing with transformers means there is always heavy copper wire and steel cores around the shop. It’s a heavy-duty environment. The street outside can get pretty cramped with rickshaws and delivery carts, so getting things in and out takes some patience. Inside the workshop, we have our winding machines and testing gear. It’s not the quietest place to spend a day, but we like the rhythm of it. We are just local people working here. We don’t have a front desk or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’ll probably find us near the back working on a unit. We deal with repairs and some new assemblies when the orders come in. It’s dusty and smells like oil and metal, which is pretty standard for this line of work. We’ve been in Nangloi long enough to know most of the other shop owners around here. We just keep our heads down and focus on the technical side of things. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes even Sundays if there's a rush of orders that need to go out quickly.
