The Beauty Bar

The Beauty Bar is situated at 4/20, Balraj Khanna Marg in East Patel Nagar. We are directly opposite Hotel Siddhartha, which is a big landmark in this area. It is a nice street, though it can get quite crowded with cars during the rush hour. Our shop is small and cozy. We have decorated it ourselves with things we liked, so it doesn't look like one of those cold, modern salons. We do a bit of everything—hair, nails, and skin. We are a small team and we have been working together for a long time. We don't have a receptionist, so one of us usually has to stop what we are doing to answer the phone or greet someone at the door. It makes the place feel more personal, I think. We have some regular ladies from Patel Nagar who come in every two weeks. We know all the local news and gossip. We don't use any fancy marketing words to describe what we do. We just tell people our prices and get to work. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a bit of a rattling noise, but it keeps the place cool enough. We are just regular people running a small business. We work hard and we appreciate the people who choose to come to us instead of the big chains. It isn't a perfect place, but it is ours and we like it that way.
