Scrap Purchaser

We operate Scrap Purchaser out of Plot No. A 62 in Ambika Enclave. It's in the Nihal Vihar area, which isn't too far from Nangloi if you're driving. Basically, we spend our time dealing with all sorts of old materials that people don't want anymore and need to get rid of. The yard is always full of stacks of metal, plastic, and other bits and pieces. It can look like a total mess to someone just passing by, but we have our own way of organizing things into piles. We use a big scale to weigh everything, and that’s pretty much the main part of the day for us. Some days we get a lot of people bringing in small loads from their homes, and other times it's big trucks from factories nearby. The dust can get quite bad when the wind blows through the enclave. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few strong guys who help move the heavy stuff around. It's physical work and it gets tiring, especially when it's hot outside and there's no shade. We’ve got a small shed where we sit when it rains or when we’re trying to do the accounts. People in Nihal Vihar know us as the place to drop off their junk for a fair price. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people seeing the sign. It’s a simple business of buying and selling what others throw away. We just try to keep the piles from falling over.
