We started working at 598/1 in Paschim Puri a long time ago. It has been quite a while since we first moved into the office here in Pocket-I. The space isn't really much to look at from the outside, but it gets the job done for us. Most days start pretty early because the traffic in this part of town gets bad quickly. We have some basic desks, a couple of old fans that rattle a bit, and plenty of paperwork stacked up in the corners. People stop by sometimes just to ask for directions since we are located on a corner. It is mostly quiet in the afternoons. We handle our daily files and try to keep everything organized, though that is often easier said than done. The tea stall just down the street is where most of us end up by four o'clock in the evening. It is a very tight-knit spot. We do not have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist sitting in a suit. It is just us working through the lists and making sure the phones get answered when they ring. Sometimes the electricity acts up during the summer, so we just wait it out. This is a local business and we know the neighbors by their first names. Being in this part of Delhi means you see a lot of the same faces every single day. We do not spend time on fancy decorations. We just do the work.
