About Royal India Art – Housewares & Supplies in West Delhi
Royal India Art is my workshop and shop located at Vishnu Garden WZ 76/1. It is a place filled with the smell of wood, cut glass, and adhesive. We mostly do picture framing and some local artwork, so there are always long strips of molding leaning against the walls. The floor is usually covered in sawdust and tiny scraps of paper. I spend most of my time at the large central table, measuring frames and cutting glass to the right size. It is a very precise job, and my hands have plenty of small cuts to prove it. The neighborhood of Vishnu Garden is mostly residential, so we get a lot of people bringing in wedding photos or religious pictures that they want to hang on their walls. It is a quiet shop compared to the main markets, which I like because I can focus on the work. I’ve been doing this for a long time at WZ 76/1, and I have frames that I made years ago still looking good. We don’t have a fancy showroom, just the workshop where everything happens. Sometimes a customer will sit and have tea with me while I finish their frame. It’s not about being fast, it’s about making sure the frame looks right and will hold up over time. We just do our work steadily and try to make sure everyone leaves satisfied with what we’ve made for them.
