Raj Vermi Compost

Raj Vermi Compost is located at Shop No. Y-108 in the Loha Mandi area of Naraina. It’s a bit of an industrial spot, very different from the fancy PVR Cinemas that sits nearby. You can hear the sounds of the Mandi all day long, people moving metal and trucks backing up. Our shop is simple. We deal with vermicompost, so it’s earthy and a bit messy at times. We don't wear suits or sit in air-conditioned offices all day. Mostly, we are busy with the bags and the soil. The location is convenient because the Mandi is a central hub for many things. People often get surprised when they see a compost business so close to a cinema hall, but it works for us. We’ve been in Naraina for a while now. The walls of the shop could use a fresh coat of paint, but we are more focused on the work itself. It’s a family-run feel even if we have some help. We drink a lot of chai from the local vendor and talk about the market prices. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure the compost is good and the customers get what they need. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from morning till the sun goes down over the Mandi.
