Our office for Mahafeed Speciality Fertilizers (India) Pvt Ltd is located at C-3A/89C in Janak Puri. It’s a residential-looking area but with lots of businesses tucked away in the blocks. We aren't out in the fields ourselves, but we spend all day thinking about them. The office is usually full of samples and brochures about different ways to help plants grow. Janak Puri is a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around, and our street is no different. We have a lot of people coming in to talk about soil and crops, so it’s never really quiet. We’ve got a few computers that are always humming and a water cooler that everyone congregates around when it gets hot in Delhi. We aren't some big corporate tower; we’re just a group of people working out of a regular building. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit by the window to get some light while we wait for the generator to kick in. It’s a practical environment. We have to keep track of a lot of different products, so the shelves are always full. We try to keep things simple and honest with everyone who walks through the door. It’s just us, doing our part in the supply chain, making sure the right stuff gets to the people who need it. It’s a steady job and we like the neighborhood.
