Rain Drop Fashions

Rain Drop Fashions is a small outfit located at A-3/20 in Chanakya Place, right along Pankha Road in Janakpuri. It’s a very busy street, and you can always hear the horns and the people outside. We have been here for a while, and the space is packed with rolls of fabric and half-finished garments. It’s not a fancy showroom where everything is on display. It's more of a working shop where there is always some thread on the floor and the sewing machines are going for most of the day. We have a couple of large tables for cutting and a small corner where we sit to have our lunch. Sometimes the stacks of cloth get so high that it’s hard to see the person sitting on the other side. We don’t have much in the way of office furniture, just what we need to get the sewing and packing done. People from the neighborhood often drop in to check what we are working on. It’s a noisy, cluttered, but friendly place. We spend our time checking seams and making sure the boxes are taped up properly for delivery. It’s just a few of us doing the work, and we don’t mind the chaos of the busy season. We mostly just keep our heads down and try to finish the orders on time. The shop gets a little hot in the summer, but the ceiling fans help a bit.
