Radhamadhav Marbles

Radhamadhav Marbles is located at C-21, Sharda Puri, right there on the Ring Road. If you miss the turn, you’ll end up past Rajouri Garden, but we’re easy to spot right across from the Sujan Singh Gurudwara. It’s a noisy spot because of all the traffic, but we’ve grown to like the energy of the place. Dealing in marbles is a heavy, physical job. We spend a lot of our time out in the yard, checking the quality of the slabs and making sure the edges aren’t chipped. It’s constant work, moving things with the crane or by hand when the machines are being finicky. The dust is just part of our lives here; it gets on your clothes and in your hair by the end of every shift. We aren’t trying to be some high-end boutique. We just have a lot of stone and we sell it to people who need it for their homes. Our office is small and usually has a few people sitting around talking about prices or deliveries. Sometimes the trucks arrive late because of the Delhi traffic, and we just have to sit tight and wait. We try to keep the inventory sorted, but with so many different types of marble coming in, it gets cluttered fast. We know our regulars by name, and we usually have a pot of tea going for whoever stops by. It’s a simple business, run by people who know their stone.
