Pandit Neeraj Sharma

My name is Neeraj Sharma and you can find me over at the Shree Ram Mandir in H Block, Vikaspuri. Being based at the temple means I am here almost every single day. It’s a central spot in the block, so there are always people coming and going. I don’t have a separate office or anything like that. Most of my work happens right here on the temple grounds. I grew up learning these traditions, and now it is just my daily life. The atmosphere is usually quite peaceful, especially in the early morning before the city fully wakes up. I like the smell of incense that hangs in the air. Vikaspuri is a busy area, but once you step into H Block and come toward the mandir, things slow down a little. I spend a lot of time talking to the locals who stop by for a minute. It’s not just about ceremonies; it’s about being part of the neighborhood. I have my little corner where I keep my papers and books. It isn’t fancy, just a wooden table and a couple of stools. People know where I am if they need anything. I’ve been at this location for a good while, and I don’t see myself moving anywhere else. It’s a steady routine of prayers and meeting people from all walks of life.
