I’m Jitender, and I’ve been running my small office at 119 Gupta Place in Rajouri Garden for several years. It’s a pretty well-known spot in this part of Delhi. My space is on one of the upper floors, so you have to climb some stairs to get to me. It’s not a huge office, just a couple of rooms where I keep my things and meet with people who need help. Rajouri Garden is always loud and full of energy, which I like, though sometimes I have to shut the window to hear myself think. I have an old wooden desk that belonged to my father, and I still use it every day. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. People stop by usually in the afternoons. I try to stay organized, but there are always stacks of papers everywhere. It’s just how I work. I know the guys at the tea stall downstairs, and they usually bring me a cup around four o'clock. It’s a simple way of living and working. I don’t have a big team or fancy computers, just what I need to do the job. If you’re in Gupta Place, you’ll see my sign near the entrance of number 119. I’ve lived in Delhi my whole life and I don’t see myself moving from this spot anytime soon.
