Olive Urban Garments Private Limited is based out in Dakhinganwa. We are located care of Ankit Kumar’s place. It’s a bit out of the way if you aren’t from around here, but it works for us. Making garments is what we do every day. We don’t have a huge factory with loud sirens. It is a much smaller operation where we can actually see every piece of clothing being made. Ankit oversees most of the daily activities. We started this because we wanted to work for ourselves and bring some garment work to the Dakhinganwa area. The pace of life here is a bit slower than the big cities, and our work reflects that. We take our time to make sure things are done right. There are no fancy boardrooms here. We usually just talk over what needs to be done while sitting in the work area. We deal with various types of clothing, mostly focusing on urban styles as the name suggests. It is interesting to see how a piece of fabric turns into something someone will wear. We have had our ups and downs like any small business, but we are still here. Most of our neighbors know what we do and sometimes they stop by for a chat. It’s just a simple, local business trying to make its mark from a small town. We like the quiet here and the focus it gives us.
