New Rajasthan & Company is right in the middle of Inderpuri Main Market at Wz 241. If you know the market, you know it’s a crowded, busy place where there’s always something happening. There’s a constant stream of people walking past our front door, especially in the evenings when everyone is out shopping for groceries or clothes. Our shop isn't very large, so we have to be pretty clever about how we stack things to make everything fit. It can feel a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at the same time, but we’re used to it. We’ve been here long enough that the floorboards have a few worn spots where people usually stand. There’s no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that’s seen better days but still works okay. We don't spend much on advertising or anything like that because most people just find us by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here, even if we aren't all related. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the people who come in, often about things that have nothing to do with what we’re selling. It’s just a regular shop in a regular market, doing what we’ve done for years. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the rain or the traffic, but most of the time we’re kept pretty busy.
