Mela Singh

Our business, Mela Singh, is situated at W-97 in Phase II of the Mayapuri Industrial Area. Mayapuri is a place known for metal, machines, and hard work, and we fit right in. Our unit is a bit worn down, but it’s solid. There is usually some grease on the floor and the sound of metal clanging together. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. The area is always buzzing with activity, with junk dealers and manufacturers all crammed together. We have a small office space that is mostly used for storing samples and keeping the bills in order. It’s not very comfortable, but it serves its purpose. We don’t go around making big claims about being the best. We just do the work that comes our way and try to keep our machines in good shape. The tea stall at the corner is where we spend our breaks, talking about the weather or the price of materials. It is a tough environment sometimes, especially when the monsoon floods the streets, but we just get on with it. We have a few loyal workers who have stayed with us through the ups and downs. If you come looking for W-97, just look for the gate with the faded paint. We are usually there from morning until late evening, just getting things done.
