M. L. Store

You can find M. L. Store over at Plot No-Wz/254 in the Hanuman Market. It’s right on Hastsal Road in the Uttam Nagar area. The market is a very busy place, especially in the mornings when everyone is out doing their shopping. We’ve had this store for years and it’s packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of items. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but we know exactly where everything is located. If a customer asks for something obscure, we can usually find it in a minute or two. The shop isn't very large, so it can get a bit cramped when there are more than three or four people inside at once. We don't have air conditioning, just a big ceiling fan that works hard all day. Dealing with the public is always interesting because you meet all kinds of people in Uttam Nagar. We don't bother with fancy displays or lighting. We just put the goods on the shelves and let people browse. It’s a very traditional way of running a shop. We enjoy the chat we have with our neighbors every day. Sometimes we stand out on the pavement just to catch a bit of a breeze. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but it’s what we know. We aren't looking to expand or do anything grand. We just like serving the local community here.
