La' Fiesta Fashion

Being on the second floor in Vikas Puri means we get a decent view of the street below if we bother to look. La' Fiesta Fashion is located at Kg-3/121, and we've gotten very used to climbing those narrow stairs every single morning. It’s a bit of a workout, especially when we’re carrying heavy bags of materials or boxes of thread. The space is bright enough during the day, which helps when we’re looking at different colors and checking the patterns. We have a few long tables where most of the work happens throughout the week. It’s not a huge operation, just a handful of us making sure everything is stitched properly and packed up. Vikas Puri is a nice area, usually pretty lively with people heading to the market and cars honking. We can hear the traffic and the occasional shouting from the vendors selling fruit below. Sometimes we stop for a quick break and watch what's happening outside for a minute before getting back to the machines. The walls are a plain, boring color, and we have thread spools lined up on shelves everywhere. It’s not perfectly neat, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We don’t have a receptionist or anyone like that to answer the door. If someone knocks, one of us just gets up and opens it while we're still holding a piece of cloth. Most days are pretty much the same—cutting, sewing, and packing. We try to keep things moving so we don't fall behind. It’s a small shop, but it’s our shop, and we’ve been here long enough that it feels like home.
