Jan And April Apparels Private Limited operates out of the building at KA 68 in Kaushambi. The space we have at F-1 is where we do all our daily work and meetings. Kaushambi is a very busy area, and being located here puts us right in the middle of all the action. We chose the name because it sounded okay to us, there is no deeper meaning behind it. Most of our days are spent checking samples and talking to our various suppliers. It is a lot of back and forth communication. Our office is not very big, so we have to be quite organized with where we put the boxes and files. We usually have a small radio playing in the background just to keep the mood light while we work. It is mostly just us and the piles of clothes. Sometimes we get visitors looking for specific patterns or designs, and we have to dig through the stacks to find them. The lighting in F-1 is a bit dim in the far corners, but we have extra lamps for the close-up work on the fabrics. It is an honest living for everyone involved. We are not trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just want to do our work well and then go home at the end of the day. There is always something small to fix, like a broken garment rack or a computer glitch. We just take those things as they come.
