Our office is at C 1 174 in Akpuri, which is a part of New Delhi that stays fairly busy during the week. The address is a bit tucked away, so people sometimes have to call us for directions when they are coming for the first time. It’s a typical Delhi building with a solid gate and a small staircase leading up. Ibm India Pvt Limited takes up this portion of the property. We have the usual setup with desks, some chairs for visitors, and a small area where we keep the water cooler and the coffee machine. The morning sun hits the front windows quite strongly, so we usually keep the blinds pulled halfway down until noon. It’s a residential-feeling block, so we try to keep the noise down out of respect for the families living nearby. There’s a small park a couple of streets over where some of us go for a quick walk during lunch just to get some fresh air. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that; usually, whoever is closest to the door just gets up to see who it is. It’s a very informal atmosphere, and we prefer it that way because it makes the long hours feel a bit shorter. We just do our work and head home when we're finished. There is no real corporate polish here, just people doing their jobs in a quiet corner of the city.
