Our little shop is located at B-5/1 in the Ramesh Nagar Paper Market. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know how crowded it gets with trucks and people carrying huge stacks of paper. We have been here for years, and the smell of fresh paper and printer ink is something we’ve just grown used to. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside. Inside, we have our computers and the printing machines that hum all day long. It gets quite loud when everything is running at once. Ramesh Nagar is a tough place to find parking, so we usually just walk or take a rickshaw. We know most of the other shopkeepers on this block, and we often share tea in the afternoons when things quiet down a bit. Our space is filled with old boxes and rolls of paper that we need for different jobs. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside on the steps and wait for it to come back. It’s a very local way of working. We handle a lot of different printing tasks, and there’s always something new to fix on the computers. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the machines. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know. We close up around eight and head home through the market traffic.
