Udyog Nagar Industrial Area is a busy place near Peeragarhi. Our spot is at K 59. It’s a functional building with lots of stairs. Dona Doni Fashion Private Limited has been operating from here for a while. We have the cutting tables on one floor and the stitching on another. It gets pretty hot in the summer, even with the big fans blowing. We try to keep the windows open, but the dust from the industrial area comes in. You get used to the sound of the machines after a few minutes; it just becomes background noise. We have a small group of workers who have been with us since we started. We sit together during lunch in the small courtyard. Usually, someone brings home-cooked food and we all share. It’s a very practical environment. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or decorations. Every bit of space is used for fabric or finished goods. Sometimes we get a big order and everyone has to work a bit faster to meet the deadline. There’s no corporate ladder here, just people doing their jobs. We check the quality of the stitching ourselves before anything goes into a bag. It’s a lot of manual work. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. We just make clothes in Peeragarhi and send them where they need to go.
