Ding Dong Clothing

Ding Dong Clothing is tucked away in Gali No. 9 over in Nangli Vihar Extension. We’ve been here at C 3/279 for quite some time now, just doing our thing with needles and thread. Baprola is a busy spot, and our little corner is usually piled high with rolls of fabric and half-finished shirts. It’s not the kind of place with a big shiny sign or a glass front. Instead, you’ll find us sitting around the tables, making sure the buttons are on tight and the seams are straight. My cousin and a few local guys handle most of the heavy lifting. We start early when the tea stall down the street opens and usually keep at it until the sun goes down over Nangli Vihar. It gets pretty noisy when all the machines are running at once, but we’re used to it by now. There’s always someone coming in to drop off a delivery or pick up a finished batch. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk; we just focus on the work right in front of us. If you’re walking through the lane, you’ll probably hear the hum of the motors before you see the door. It’s just a regular workspace where we try to stay busy and keep things moving. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, but we’re still here at the same spot, just making clothes day in and day out.
