Curwish Stitch Private Limited is right in the heart of the South Patel Nagar Market at 16E. Being in the market means we are always surrounded by the hustle and bustle of Central Delhi. We’ve got a spot here where we handle all our stitching work. It’s not a massive factory, just a dedicated space where we have our machines and cutting tables set up. The market is always loud, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend most of our day hunched over the fabric, making sure every stitch is in place. It’s a lot of manual work and it requires a bit of patience. Our team is small, mostly people from the surrounding areas who have been doing this for a long time. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and you see us working. There are piles of colorful thread everywhere and scraps of cloth on the floor by the end of the day. We try to sweep up before we head home. Sometimes customers come in with specific ideas, and we do our best to follow their sketches. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We don't use any fancy software for our designs; mostly it’s just chalk and rulers. It’s a simple life, focused on doing one thing well. We enjoy being part of the Patel Nagar community and seeing the familiar faces of other shopkeepers every morning. It’s just us, some needles, and a lot of work to get through. Sometimes the power cuts mean we have to stop for a bit, but we just take that as a tea break.
